MGR at a Hotel

How to eat in a hotel and escape:

About 40 years ago, a poor boy had his breakfast at Uduppi Hotel, Pudupatti, Ponnamaravathi. He then tried to escape without paying. N. Arumugham, S/O the legendary tinsmith Mr. M. Natarajan Achari, caught him. People crowded. His shirt pocket was searched to recover the bill amount. No money was found. But a few unpaid bills of the same hotel of previous days were found in his trousers pocket. Before he was troubled by the suddenly appeared crowd, Shri Rengaiyer appeared at the scene.

A few words about Rengaiyer: Rengaiyer was probably the founder of the hotel. He used to prepare coffee and tea as per the will of the customers. There is no one in this world who can prepare coffee of tea like him.  There is no substitute for him in the universe. There is no equivalent for the aromatic and tasty coffee prepared by him. Now Mr. Ramakrishnan and Mr. Sivalingam are trying to prepare coffee of Shri Rengaiyer’s standard.  There is a lot of scope for improvement.

Shri Rengaiyer simply allowed the defaulter to go.

Now see how MGR is escaping in Enga Veettu Pillai.

Say Kabali has Come

Rajini-starrer Kabali’s adrenalin-pumping, euphoric, exciting, thrilling, exhilarating, electrifying, stirring, craziness-inducing, invoking song ‘Neruppu Da’.

Neruppu Da, Nerungu Da, Mudiyuma?
I am fire da, if you can come near me da, can you?
Rajini dialogue: Bayama? Hahahaha
Fear for me? Hahahaha

Neruppu Da, Nerungu Da, Paapom
Nerunguna, Posukkura, Kootam
Adikkura, Azhikira, Yennam
Mudiyuma, Nadakuma, Innum?

I am fire da, if you can come near me da, let’s see
If you come near me, you will be combusted, that’s the crowd you are
Your nature to hit people and wipe them out
Do you think it will continue happening now?

Adakunna, Adangura, Aalaa nee?
Izhuthatum, Piriyira, Noola Nee?
Thadaiyellam, Mathikura, Aalaa nee
Vidiyala, Virumbidum
Kabaaliiiiiiii
Kabaliiiiii

Are you the kind who will be tamed?
Are you a thread which will split the minute you pull it?
Are you the kind who will bow down to rules?
It is not dawn yet
We will like Kabaliiiii….

Kabaliiiii

Introduction to Sandhyavandhanam

Sandhyavandana is a mandatory religious ritual that needs to be performed by all twice-born people of Hinduism. Especially brahmins who are initiated into the sacred thread ceremony called as Upanayanam, and instructed in its execution by a Guru (a qualified spiritual teacher). Sandhyavandanam consists of excerpts from the Vedas that are to be performed thrice daily at morning (prātaḥsaṃdhyā), at noon (mādhyānika), and in the evening (sāyaṃsaṃdhyā).
Sandhyavandanam is the oldest extant liturgy in world religion. It may be a practice descended from the much older daily Agnihotra.

Sandhyavandanam literally means salutation to Sandhya. Sandhya literally means transition moments of the day namely the two twilight: dawn and dusk and the solar noon. Thus Sandhyavandanam means salutation to twilight or solar noon.

The term sandhyā is also used by itself in the sense of "daily practice" to refer to the performance of these devotions at the opening and closing of the day. [1][2]
[3][4] The steps in the Sandhyavandan always include the following essential ones:
1. Achamana consists of Nama Sankirthana---taking the names of the Lord
2. Pranayama is the ritual purification of internals via breathing exercises
3. Marjana is a ritual self-purification
4. Mantra Prokshanam is a prayer for atonement of sins
5. Aghamarshana (performed by some schools, especially Rig Vedins) is a prayer for forgiveness of sins
6. Gayathri japa is meditation
7. Upasthanam is prayer to Mitra (in the morning prayer) & Varuna (in the evening prayer)
8. AbhivAdana is a salutory introduction offered to all deities. It usually follows a prostration to the deities of each direction ("dikpaalas")
